1. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Vocab Magnet's website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

• • Use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display
• • Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Vocab Magnet
• • Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials
• • Transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server
• • Sell, rent, or lease the materials

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Vocab Magnet at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

2. Disclaimer of Warranties

The materials on Vocab Magnet's website are provided on an 'as is' basis. Vocab Magnet makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

Further, Vocab Magnet does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its website or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.

3. Limitations of Liability

In no event shall Vocab Magnet or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Vocab Magnet's website, even if Vocab Magnet or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.

Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

Vocab Magnet does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete, or current. Vocab Magnet may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice.

Vocab Magnet does not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.

5. Materials License

Vocab Magnet has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Vocab Magnet of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.

6. Limitations

7. Accuracy of Billing Information

If you purchase a Premium subscription through Vocab Magnet, you agree to provide accurate and complete billing information. This includes:

• • Correct email address and contact information
• • Valid payment method (processed securely through Paddle)
• • Accurate billing address

You authorize Paddle (our payment processor) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your chosen billing interval. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your payment information.

Refund Policy: All subscriptions are recurring. To cancel your subscription and stop future charges, you must cancel through your account settings or contact support. Refunds are handled in accordance with Paddle's refund policies. For more information, see Paddle's terms at paddle.com/legal.

We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel accounts if billing information is inaccurate or if suspicious activity is detected.

8. User Content

You retain all rights to any custom words, phrases, or other content you create within Vocab Magnet ("User Content"). By using Vocab Magnet, you grant us a limited license to:

• • Store your User Content on our servers (Supabase)
• • Process it to provide the learning service (spaced repetition, progress tracking)
• • Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the app (without identifying you)

You guarantee that your User Content does not violate any laws or third-party rights. Vocab Magnet is not responsible for User Content and reserves the right to remove content that is illegal, abusive, or violates these terms.

9. Prohibited Behavior

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited conduct:

• • Harassing, threatening, or defaming others
• • Uploading viruses, malware, or harmful code
• • Attempting to access accounts or systems you don't have permission to access
• • Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools to extract data
• • Spam or flooding the contact form or API
• • Reverse engineering or attempting to break security measures
• • Using Vocab Magnet for illegal purposes

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination.

10. Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon deletion:

• • All your data (learning progress, custom words, etc.) will be permanently deleted
• • Any active Premium subscription will be cancelled
• • You will lose access to your account

Vocab Magnet may also terminate your account if:

• • You violate these Terms of Service
• • We detect suspicious or fraudulent activity
• • We discontinue the service (with advance notice when possible)

We will attempt to notify you of account termination, but are not obligated to do so.

11. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes become effective when posted to the website. The "Last Updated" date will reflect the most recent version.

Your continued use of Vocab Magnet after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We will notify you of major changes via email when possible.

12. Contact Us

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Germany.
